Gentle Christian Homelearning Group

Are you a Christian parent who finds that mainstream homeschooling groups have difficulty understanding your parenting and homelearning choices? Or perhaps your children aren’t school age and you want to find out more about homeschooling. Gentle Christian Homelearners is a support group for Christian mothers who believe in gentle and grace-based discipline philosophies and value the principals of the Attachment Parenting lifestyle. Homeschooling comes naturally to many as an extension of Attachment parenting! Some of our past and present parenting choices include (but certainly you do not need to do these!) family bed, peaceful birth, homebirth, breastfeeding, baby wearing, cloth diapering, non-vaccinating or selective vaccinations, natural health, homeopathic and holistic health care, healthy eating, and natural living practices. Above all we value listening and respecting our children as individuals with different God-given gifts and individual learning styles. Many of the members are past Ancient Paths Midwifery clients.

We support families of *all* home learning styles; from unschooling to classical, curriculum-based to eclectic and all in-between. This group has grown out of a need for Christian fellowship with other alternative homeschooling mamas. We plan to meet locally for play dates, park days, children’s bible study and field trips. We plan to have park days in Claremont and Rancho Cucamonga, and field trips in various Southern CA locations.

Women of all Christian denominations are welcome with the understanding that we are to walk in love not in contention, as we strive to put Christ in our families and children's hearts.
